Education Secretary Lucy Powell has said "change will come" on antisemitism in schools and colleges in England, as she confirmed the Government has accepted all of the recommendations in Sir David Bell's review.
Speaking in the Commons on Wednesday, Powell said tackling antisemitism is a "generational challenge" and that all children and teachers should be able to attend school or college "free from fear".
Social media concerns
The Education Secretary warned that antisemitism is "normalised and amplified" on social media, and that "old tropes" have found a "new life" online.
Sir David's review has called for political impartiality guidance for teachers to be strengthened. The report did not call for a ban on teachers and pupils wearing political symbols or flags, such as pro-Palestine badges, in schools and colleges.
Government response
The Government has accepted all 27 recommendations in the review, signalling a full commitment to the proposed changes.
Powell's announcement marks a formal step in addressing antisemitism within the education system, with the review's recommendations now set to be implemented.
