Wayne Mardle Finds New Love 15 Months After Wife's Death

Darts commentator Wayne Mardle has found new love 15 months after the tragic death of his wife Donna. The 52-year-old Sky Sports pundit, who lost his wife of 22 years in December 2024 after a short illness, is now in a relationship with Deborah, a 52-year-old single mother and TikTok user.

New Relationship Details

Deborah, who posts under the handle 'changingmylifedeb' on TikTok, has shared videos of herself and Mardle. In one caption, she wrote: 'If you're lucky enough to get a second chance at happiness, it's really important you take it. So happy we found each other and can't wait for what's ahead for us both now, together.'

Another video showed her dog watching Mardle on television as he presented darts coverage for Sky Sports. The accompanying text read: 'When your boyfriend left a few hours ago and now you're watching him on TV, but the dog's only wondering when dad's coming back to walk him.'

Deborah's Perspective on Love

In a separate post, Deborah expressed her joy: 'The best feeling in the world is meeting someone after heartache unexpectedly. Falling in love with them effortlessly. And finding out that you can feel more loved by them in weeks than you ever did over years with someone else.' She added: 'You know that really annoying saying people have, that real love will find you when you least expect it. Well I'm happy to report it's true.'

Mardle's Public Grief Journey

Wayne Mardle has been open about his grief following Donna's death. In an emotional video in February, he described the experience as 'absolutely brutal.' He said: 'My wife Donna died on December 11, 2024, so about 430 odd days ago... It doesn't feel like progress, it is absolutely brutal.' He urged others to 'just get on with it how you think is right' and advised against overthinking the grieving process.

Mardle also spoke about visiting Donna's grave daily initially but then stopping after Christmas Day. 'I don't feel guilty, I just feel like I can't do it because it beats me, beats me every time I go over there,' he said. He emphasized that there is no right or wrong way to grieve and encouraged those going through similar experiences to follow their own instincts.
