Vernon Kay and Tess Daly made their final joint television appearance just months before announcing their separation. The couple co-hosted an episode of The One Show on 25 February, marking their first time presenting together in 20 years.
During the broadcast, Kay introduced Daly to viewers, saying: “Look who we have here. Someone who will definitely keep me in check.” The pair interviewed guests including Jessie Buckley, Maggie Gyllenhaal and the cast of Bridgerton.
On 8 May, the couple confirmed they had separated after 22 years of marriage. In a joint statement, they said the decision was not easy but they remain “great friends” who are fully committed to being “loving and supportive” parents.
