San Francisco Locals Express Disgust at Trump's Private Plane Presence
Residents of San Francisco were left feeling disgusted after noticing President Donald Trump's private aircraft parked at the city's international airport. The unmistakable Boeing 757-200, prominently displaying the word 'TRUMP' in large lettering on its side, was photographed on the tarmac at San Francisco International Airport on Monday, igniting a wave of outrage among locals who insisted the plane should leave immediately.
Luxurious Details of the Controversial Aircraft
According to the Trump Organization, this opulent plane is considered the crown jewel of the Trump Fleet. It boasts customized Italian leather seats embroidered with the Trump family crest, along with 24-karat gold plated accents throughout its interior. The president acquired the $100 million aircraft in 2010 from Microsoft founder Paul Allen. This heavily customized version, originally built in 1991, includes two private guestrooms, three bathrooms, dining and conference areas, and an extensive entertainment system. While a standard Boeing 757-200 typically accommodates about 228 seats, Trump's personalized model features only 43 seats, plus a bedroom, guest suite, state room, conference area, and custom galley.
Strong Public Reaction on Social Media Platforms
The jet's arrival was met with a chilly reception from San Francisco residents, who took to online platforms to voice their displeasure. One user on Reddit bluntly stated, 'Gross please leave,' while another wrote, 'Tell him to f*** off the f*** out of here.' Additional comments included, 'F*** that plane, and its owners and guests,' and 'Oh hell nawh. Get that trash outta here.' Some responses were more succinct, with one simply reading 'wtf,' to which others replied, 'Correct response. A+ for you neighbor,' and 'My reaction exactly.'
Speculation Surrounding the Plane's Mission
It remains unclear who was traveling on the plane to San Francisco, but online users offered various theories. One suggested, 'it must be Eric and/or Don Junior out here to visit their crypto buddies,' while another quipped, 'Iranians are after [Trump], this must be his sanctuary city.' A further theory proposed that whoever landed in the city was 'meeting with billionaires.' Information regarding the plane's flight path was not publicly available at the time.
Historical Significance and Trump's Personal Praise
The Boeing 757 played a key role in Trump's presidential campaign rallies, often serving as a backdrop to enhance the spectacle of his events. At one rally in Ohio, a voice announced, 'Trump Force One, you are cleared for landing.' Although the plane was mothballed during Trump's time in the White House, he has publicly praised its design and handling. In 2024, Trump urged Boeing to resume production of the 757, which was discontinued in 2004, stating on social media, 'Boeing should bring back the 757, the most beautiful, best handling plane (from the pilots standpoint!) that Boeing ever made.'
In a 2023 interview with the Daily Mail, Trump compared the plane favorably to Air Force One, which he used during his presidency, though he was coy about the exact cost, merely noting, 'A lot of money,' and adding, 'These finishes are expensive.' He described the interior as featuring cream leather seats and ceilings complemented by velvet walls, emphasizing, 'It's certainly convenient, and I think it makes an impression because it's just a great airplane.' Trump further explained, 'The 757 was always considered the best looking of all the commercial planes. You know, it sits up high. It's like a preying mantis. And I think it's helpful in a lot of ways. We can travel with a lot of people. But I think more importantly it makes a fantastic impression on people because we're gonna make our country great and you'd like to show equipment that's great. It's all part of everything.'
