In a lengthy post on his Truth Social platform on the evening of Thursday 25 December 2025, Trump claimed he was the only prominent figure to have severed connections with Epstein well before it became a common practice. He framed the ongoing release of court documents related to Epstein's associates as a politically motivated attack.
"Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein...only to ‘drop him like a dog’ when things got too HOT," Trump wrote. He accused these unnamed individuals of falsely denying their links before attempting to blame him. The former president insisted he was "actually the only one who did drop Epstein, and long before it became fashionable to do so."
Pointing the Finger at Democrats
Trump then directly implicated the Democratic Party in the post, suggesting that all those who once considered Epstein "the greatest guy on earth" were aligned with his political rivals. He issued a stark warning as the public and media scrutiny over the so-called 'Epstein files' intensifies.
"When their names get brought out in the ongoing Radical Left Witch Hunt...and it is revealed that they are Democrats all, there will be a lot of explaining to do," he stated. Trump concluded his holiday message with a pointed barb: "Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas!"
