Charlotte Chilton, who rose to fame on the first series of The Traitors, has introduced her new boyfriend to followers on social media. The 36-year-old reality star had been involved in a public dispute with pop singer Conor Maynard over the paternity of her daughter, Penelope.
In an Instagram post, Chilton shared photographs of her new partner bonding with her daughter, alongside the caption: 'Sunny BBQ !! What a great family day (sorry to those I did not capture). I am the happiest person in the world right now.' The post was met with supportive comments from friends and fans.
The revelation comes after a difficult period for Chilton, which included brain surgery. She had previously disclosed spending 18 days in hospital, and shared a bathroom selfie expressing relief at being reunited with her one-year-old daughter.
Chilton has been embroiled in a paternity dispute with Maynard, who she insists is Penelope's father despite two DNA tests indicating otherwise. The tests were conducted at an accredited facility chosen by Chilton. Maynard publicly mocked Chilton, playing a clip of her becoming tearful and adding commentary.
Maynard later stated: 'As Charlotte requested, Penelope’s, Charlotte’s and my DNA were all taken at a Ministry of Justice accredited DNA facility... The results are therefore conclusive.' Chilton, however, maintains the tests are incorrect and has cited similar cases from others.
