Only Way Is Essex star Jake Hall found dead in Mallorca

Jake Hall, best known for appearing on The Only Way Is Essex, has died aged 35 in Mallorca. The former reality TV personality was found unresponsive at a villa on the Spanish island, with head wounds reportedly caused by shards of glass.

The Spanish Civil Guard said it was investigating the incident, which appeared to be an accidental death. Police were called to the holiday rental in Santa Margalida, in the north of the island, at about 7.30am on Wednesday. Four men and two women who were staying at the villa have been spoken to, and no arrests have been made. An autopsy will take place in Palma, the Mallorcan capital.

A Foreign Office spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.” Hall had been spending time in Mallorca with family and had posted videos and photographs of his holiday on Instagram in the days before his death. He often stayed in Mallorca, where he had a second home, and had recently unveiled a sculpture he made on the island.
