Ollie Locke, the former Made in Chelsea star, has relocated his family to the countryside months after reports emerged that he and his husband Gareth failed to pay three months' rent on their former home. The couple, along with their twins Apollo and Cosima, have left their rented property in Barnes, southwest London, for a rural life on the south coast.
Locke, 39, shared a video on social media showing his family leaving Waterloo station, captioning it: 'After 20 years and a million adventures I've decided to live my childhood dream and move to the countryside.' He added: 'We rode out of Waterloo for the very last time as Londoners and from Chelsea to chickens, I'm now an uncle to seven chicks and the kids adore them.'
The move comes after reports that Locke and his husband were evicted from their previous home in Barnes for failing to pay £25,000 in rent. The debt reportedly grew to £45,000 after legal costs and late fees were added. The couple had previously expressed a desire to move to Oxfordshire, with Locke telling Hello! magazine: 'We definitely have plans to move to Oxfordshire at some point. We want a converted barn!'
Locke, who previously owned a home in London, sold it to fund his surrogacy and IVF journey, which cost £500,000. He told the Daily Mail: 'We sold the house and someone gave us an offer that was alright, so we took that. But at that point, we had to. The bills were through the roof, and we lost six growing babies through miscarriage and then we got two in the end.'
Friends and former co-stars have supported the move, with Cheska Hull commenting: 'Love you so much! It's going to be the best adventure ever!' Celebs Go Dating star Anna Williamson added: 'Welcome to the countryside. It'll be the best decision you ever made darling.'
