Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has suggested that the most challenging period of her life may be drawing to a close. In a social media post shared with her 4.5 million Instagram followers, she reposted a horoscope video claiming that certain zodiac signs, including her own Leo, have just emerged from the 'hardest seven years of their lives.'
The original video, from an account called 'Astrology is for Everyone,' explained that the movement of Uranus had caused Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius signs to face the 'toughest years of their lives.' Now that Uranus is moving into Gemini, these signs can look forward to relief. Meghan, who turns 45 on August 4, shared an additional slide describing how the tension between 'who you actually are and what the world around you was willing to see' has been exhausting, but that from April 25th, 'the pressure lifts.'
The post comes amid a period of significant personal and professional upheaval for the former Suits actress. In January 2020, she and Prince Harry stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US with their son Archie, later welcoming daughter Lilibet in 2021. Since then, Harry has become estranged from his family, and the couple gave a bombshell interview to Oprah Winfrey in 2021, making allegations about the royal family's treatment of them and Meghan's mental health struggles.
More recently, Netflix ended its partnership with Meghan's lifestyle brand As Ever, despite signing a multi-year deal with the couple. Harry has also publicly spoken about his desire to step away from royal duties, describing the institution as having 'killed' his mother, Princess Diana.
