Mar-a-Lago Members Face Ban for Photographing Barron Trump, 19, on New Year's Eve
Mar-a-Lago Members Face Ban Over Barron Trump Photos

Members of Donald Trump's exclusive Mar-a-Lago club in Florida have been issued a stark warning after two guests were caught taking photographs of the former president's youngest son, Barron Trump, during private New Year's Eve celebrations.

Strict Privacy Rules Enforced for First Family

According to insiders speaking to gossip columnist Rob Shuter, individuals who took pictures of the 19-year-old first son were threatened with having their prestigious memberships revoked. The directive is said to have come directly from former First Lady Melania Trump, who has consistently fiercely guarded her son's privacy.

"Melania made it very clear that Barron's privacy is non-negotiable," one source revealed. "Anyone caught filming or taking pictures would face immediate consequences, including potential banning from the club." A second source echoed the sentiment, stating, "The message was clear: no cameras, no leaks. Private family moments stay private."

Models at Centre of the Controversy

The incident involved models Valeria Sokolova and Abla Sofy, who photographed Barron while he was celebrating the holiday season with his family at the Palm Beach resort. The Daily Mail had previously published the images, which showed the towering teenager at his father's side.

Guests at the event described Barron as being quiet and reserved, closely following his father through the dining room and speaking very little throughout the evening. "He was quiet, very reserved, wearing his usual blue suit, almost mirroring Donald," an insider told Shuter.

Barron's Low-Profile Life and Business Focus

Barron Trump has maintained an exceptionally low profile since his father returned to the White House for a second term in January 2025. He was largely absent from public view after leaving New York University's main Manhattan campus for the Fall 2025 semester.

It was later revealed he had moved into the White House and transferred to NYU's Washington, DC campus to begin his sophomore year. He is enrolled in the Stern Executive MBA degree program at NYU Washington, DC, a selective course costing $32,811 per year that allows students to earn an MBA in two years.

Insiders indicate the move to Washington coincided with Barron's focus on developing his own business interests. "Barron has been actively working on his own financial interests and has spent time with others who he is involved with in that area," a source told People magazine. "Still, he has spent a great deal of time with his family."

His last major public appearance was at his father's inauguration in January 2025, where Donald Trump praised his son's role in helping secure the youth vote. The 6-foot-3 former president highlighted his 6-foot-9 son's advice, saying, "He knew the youth vote. We won the youth vote by 36 points."

In recent months, Barron has also reportedly been exploring his faith. Influencer pastor Stuart Knechtle, 37, claimed last month that after a late-night phone call, Barron is "very close" to fully embracing Christianity.

The White House, the Trump Organization, and the models involved have been approached for comment.
