Loughton Tyres, a tyre garage based in Essex that had been trading since 1987, has entered liquidation, according to a notice in the London Gazette. The business, which built a strong local reputation, appointed liquidators on April 2, with the notice published on April 15.
The company, situated at Loughton Seedbed Centre on Langston Road, had amassed numerous five-star reviews on Google, with customers praising its service. One reviewer, Kate Nelson, said: 'The guys were super helpful and polite from my initial call to getting the nail out. Def recommend.'
Other customers echoed the sentiment. Florence Georgiou wrote: 'Everyone was so honest and genuine. It's difficult to find a place with good people but these guys were great.' Lorraine Matthews described the staff as 'absolute lifesavers', while Kevin Cook noted they opened early to help him after a puncture.
Ninos Koumettou and Constantinos Pedhiou have been named as joint liquidators. It remains unclear how many jobs could be affected. The company's website promised 'high-quality tyres at a price you can afford' and a 'great friendly service'.
