LeAnn Rimes Health Update: Voice UK Judge on Voice Rest

The Voice UK judge LeAnn Rimes has provided a health update after being forced to postpone recent tour dates due to a severe illness. The 43-year-old singer, who joined the ITV talent show in 2024 as a judge, revealed she remains on 'voice rest' as she works to recover.

Despite her ongoing struggles, Rimes treated fans to a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals for her 30 Years of Blue tour, which has been disrupted by her medical battle. She shared footage on Instagram, sitting on a green sofa and singing her classic 'Sittin' On Top Of The World' into a microphone.

In her caption, she wrote: 'Still working my way through voice rest trying to get myself back to health as quickly as possible but couldn't let the sitting on top of the world anniversary pass by. I know this is one of your favourites that I haven't played in a while. Here's a little peek into rehearsals as we reworked and reimagined this gem.' She added: 'Hoping to add it to the setlist when I can get back out on the road.'

Tour Postponement Announcement

Last month, Rimes revealed she was 'heartbroken' after postponing two concerts in Spokane and Seattle due to a severe illness. The shows have been rescheduled for May 31 and June 2. Announcing the news on Instagram, she wrote: 'I'm sorry to share that the upcoming shows in Spokane and Seattle will be rescheduled... I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule and I am so very grateful for your kindness and continued support as I recover.'

The Voice star did not specify the illness but confirmed that all tickets remain valid for the rescheduled dates, with refunds available for those unable to attend.

Recent Health Procedures

Rimes's health issues come weeks after she went viral with a video showing a deep jaw release procedure. The clip, shared by Human Garage, depicted the singer grimacing as her jaw was physically reset with a doctor's fingers in her mouth, after which she burst into tears. The video caption explained: 'You can see the exact moment the tension breaks and the emotional weight lifts, leaving her feeling visibly lighter and more aligned.'

Rimes later addressed speculation that the reaction was not genuine, telling Entertainment Weekly: 'I can act, but I am not that good. I'm not Meryl Streep.'

Personal Reflections

On April 23, Rimes reflected on her 15th wedding anniversary with husband Eddie Cibrian in an Instagram post. Alongside photos, she wrote: 'We got to step away for three days amidst work and some very tense, heart-wrenching things happening at home with family. It's been a very different anniversary, one filled with tears and worry, but in between, there were moments of laughter and deep gratitude for this love of ours. Day by day, we walk hand in hand through the rollercoaster of life.'
