Lee's father, Peter, informed the Daily Mail that his son has been arrested by UAE authorities and is being held in prison. He stated, 'Lee is OK. He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest. I don't know on what charge. I'm not sure where he is being held. But he will call me later today.' A police source corroborated, saying, 'Lee Andrews has been arrested.'
Multiple Arrest Warrants
Brigadier Khalid Khalifa al Avadhi, chief of Dubai Police, confirmed that Andrews is the subject of several arrest warrants, primarily for fraud. He told the Daily Mail, 'There are many cases against him.'

The mystery surrounding Andrews' whereabouts deepened when a source claimed that one of his phones was turned back on Sunday morning. The source told The Sun, 'I had been messaging Lee and was getting no response. But on Sunday morning, my messages had gone from a single tick to a double – so that device is back on and being used. Earlier, Andrews appeared to re-emerge on social media on Friday, following a woman named Marisol on Instagram. Marisol, who describes herself as a 'biker babe,' is reportedly associated with a matchmaking site for millionaires. Price is said to be 'beyond furious' at this development, having previously feared he was kidnapped. A source revealed, 'Katie is incensed at what has played out. She is beyond furious. She was panic-stricken last week when Lee told her he was being kidnapped. She thought it was genuine. Now it's all unravelling.'

Price has now decided to step back from the search, stating on her podcast that she is leaving the matter to the police for her own sanity. She said, 'There's nothing I can do, nothing more that I can say. And the police are dealing with it. I'm just leaving it to the police. The police are now handling it, the British police, British consulate, the foreign office, Interpol they're on the case looking for Lee. All I can do is just get on with my life.'
