Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews has hit back at critics following his no-show on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday. The businessman was expected to appear alongside his wife on the ITV breakfast show but failed to make his flight, according to presenter Ed Balls.
Speculation and Denials
Speculation arose that Lee had been detained in Dubai, but both he and Katie quickly denied the allegations. They insisted he was still on his way to the UK to be with his wife for the first time in Britain. The couple's claims were met with skepticism as followers and Susanna Reid questioned potential issues in their marriage, including a travel ban. However, Lee has moved to shut down any wrongdoing.
Lee's Response
Sharing a quote on his Instagram Stories, Lee wrote: "I am not what you think I am. You are what you think I am." This comes as Katie's friends and family express concern over their quick marriage in Dubai in January. Lee had previously claimed to have met Katie's children, a claim denied by her representatives.
After missing his flight, Lee shared videos from what he said was Muscat International Airport in Oman. He stated: "I didn't make Good Morning Britain. I am not detained. I am in the airport in Muscat, Oman. I'm gonna put on my police app... showing that I don't have any travel bans because I've already left the UAE."
In a second video, he added: "Yes I'm at the airport and I'm flying to my wife... I had a couple of things I had to do last minute. Couldn't make the show. I was hoping to get on there over the Zoom link but they just carried on with Kate... So no one was detained, I don't know where that came from."
Doubts Over Location
Despite his claims, some questioned his actual whereabouts, suggesting the airport footage resembled Terminal 2 in Dubai rather than Muscat. Lee concluded: "Can't wait to get to my wife. I'm really looking forward to seeing you Katie. I love you so much. I'm on my way to you."
