Katie Price is standing by her fourth husband, Lee Andrews, despite the worries of her friends and family, and sources have revealed a heartbreaking reason behind her decision. The former glamour model married Lee in January, less than two weeks after they first met, and has since spent considerable time travelling between the UK and Dubai, where Lee is based, to maintain their relationship.
Friends and Family Concerns
Katie has fiercely defended Lee against accusations of lying about his financial situation and being a scammer. However, her family has grown increasingly worried for her wellbeing. Despite these concerns, Katie has no intention of ending the relationship; instead, she is working harder to make the marriage succeed.
The Heartbreaking Reason
According to a source quoted by The Sun, Katie refuses to walk away because she hates being alone and has always been that way. The source explained: "The sad thing is, Katie won't walk away because she hates being on her own and has always been that way. She is never without a man and has never been single." They added that while she appears "fiery and strong," she is actually "quite vulnerable" and "very co-dependent." The source claimed that she "does rely on a man" and that her "worst nightmare" would be a "quiet home." Katie reportedly "puts blinkers on" to ignore the "red flags" because she is "addicted to love."
Katie's Relationship History
Katie's relationship with Lee began just weeks after she confirmed her split from JJ Slater, whom she had been with for two years. Before JJ, she was engaged to on-and-off partner Carl Woods. Her first marriage was to Peter Andre, with whom she shares two children, Princess and Junior. They married in 2005 but split in 2009. The following year, Katie married Alex Reid, but they separated less than a year later. In 2013, she married her third husband, Kieran Hayler, in the Bahamas, and their divorce was finalised in 2021.
Determined to Avoid Another Failed Marriage
The Sun's source added that Katie is determined not to have "another failed marriage," as she feels she would be a "laughing stock" if she did. They described her as "stubborn" and stated that she will keep "turning a blind eye to the warning signs" because she is "determined to prove people wrong."
Recent Travel Incident
Katie recently returned to the UK after another trip to see Lee, having claimed she was stuck in Dubai. On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she said that all flights back to the UK had been cancelled due to missile launches and bombings in the UAE. However, she managed to secure a flight to Gatwick on 9 May. Speaking to her sister Sophie on a video call, Katie, 47, explained: "I don't know if you can hear but I can hear *thumping noise* going on. I'm supposed to be flying home tomorrow and we've had alerts all day and this evening we're hearing a lot of activity going on." She added: "So, all flights have been cancelled." Thankfully, the mum-of-five was pictured strutting through Gatwick airport, wearing black joggers, a tight-fitting grey crop top, and oversized sunglasses. Friends greeted her and helped with her two large suitcases and carry-on luggage.
