Katie Price was left disappointed on Wednesday morning when her husband, Lee Andrews, failed to appear for their first joint television interview on Good Morning Britain. The couple had been scheduled to appear together on the ITV programme to discuss their whirlwind marriage, but Lee did not make it to the studio.
Host Ed Balls informed viewers that Lee had missed his flight from Dubai, where he is currently based. Susanna Reid added that the interview had been confirmed as recently as Tuesday, but Lee's absence forced Katie to face the cameras alone. The broadcaster showed a short clip of Lee thanking them for the invitation but explaining he could not attend this time.
The cancellation comes amid ongoing speculation about Lee's travel restrictions from Dubai, which he has repeatedly denied. However, Katie previously hinted on her podcast that travel bans can be issued for minor reasons in Dubai. Her sister had questioned the apparent ban, and Katie responded that 'you can get a travel ban over anything in Dubai'.
Despite the setback, Lee took to social media shortly before the interview to share a gushing message about his wife, vowing to 'flex' her publicly. He also defended their quickie wedding, saying they were 'not rushing, just not holding back'. Katie reshared his post, showing her support.
The couple married in January, just weeks after meeting, shocking many. Katie has yet to introduce Lee to her five children, explaining she wants to get to know him better first. The GMB interview was intended to address concerns from friends and family, but viewers will have to wait for another opportunity to hear from the couple together.
