Katie Price has sparked fresh speculation that she has separated from her husband, Lee Andrews, after appearing to delete recent photographs of him from her social media accounts. The 47-year-old former glamour model was reportedly left devastated when Andrews, who claims to be a billionaire, failed to appear for a pre-arranged interview on Good Morning Britain earlier this week.
Social Media Cleanse
Following the no-show, Katie took to Instagram Stories on Friday to announce that Andrews would be taking a break from social media. She wrote: "Due to all the madness of trolling, people's speculation and media frenzy that as a married couple we have both decided @wesleeandrews is taking a break from social media and we are keeping things between us for now as it's our life and marriage and are very happy." However, fans quickly noticed that Katie had removed recent posts featuring her husband, while Andrews himself had disabled comments on his Instagram profile.
YouTube Video Response
In a 25-minute YouTube video posted on Saturday, Katie could be seen listening to a voice note from Andrews, in which he gave a rambling explanation for missing his flight. She responded: "I know it's not your fault but I was looking forward to seeing you. I know it's out of your hands." The video came after Katie had earlier posted social media clips and a podcast where she claimed Andrews had made her look like a "d***head", though she continued to defend him.
Fan Reactions
Viewers were quick to question Andrews' story. One commented: "Sister No.1 WHY DOES HE NEED A VISA? He is a British National. No need for a Visa. No.2 he said he has a diplomatic passport. He doesn't need a visa to go anywhere, diplomatic means he goes through the VIP entrance, they are not even allowed to open or check his bags." Another added: "Feels now like it's being used for publicity. If it wasn't before then she's realised now what he's like and who he is and using this to her benefit which I suppose why the hell not." A third offered support: "Sending you so much love, honestly we've all been there. I hope he can sort himself out and be the man you deserve!"
GMB Interview Fallout
During the Good Morning Britain interview, Katie insisted her husband did not have a travel ban, despite hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls informing her that a Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesperson had confirmed offering assistance to a British man detained in the United Arab Emirates. Walking through the ITV studios, she dismissed the reports, saying they "could be anyone", before defending Andrews and exclaiming that "everyone has it in for Lee."
