Kate Lawler and her new husband Martin Bojtos are enjoying their honeymoon in Italy, just days after tying the knot. The couple are soaking up the sun in Lake Como, but the trip hasn't been without its challenges, as Kate has been unwell.
The 42-year-old took to Instagram Stories to reveal she thinks she caught her daughter's sickness bug, after initially suspecting food poisoning. She said: 'I was asleep all day yesterday and slept last night, but still don't feel right.' She added that Martin had gone out three times by himself while she rested, joking he was on a 'honeymoon for one'.
However, Kate appears to be on the mend, as she was seen sunbathing in a leopard print bikini. The pair have been relaxing on sun loungers, and Martin gave followers a tour of their hotel room, joking that the large bath was a swimming pool.
The couple jetted off without their 16-month-old daughter Noa to enjoy some alone time. They got married in London last week, after several delays due to the coronavirus pandemic. Their wedding was originally scheduled for June 13, 2020, but was cancelled twice.
Martin proposed to Kate in April 2018 during a trip to Bruges. At their wedding, Kate wore an off-the-shoulder lace gown with a ruffled neckline and fishtail skirt, while Martin wore a cream suit jacket with a black bowtie. Kate shared the news on social media, thanking followers for their 'lovely' messages and saying she was 'still on cloud nine'.
