ITV has firmly denied allegations that Adam Thomas attempted to kick Jimmy Bullard during unaired scenes of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. The claims surfaced after a tense confrontation between the two stars was broadcast, but the broadcaster insists the reported physical altercation did not occur.
Allegations of Violence
The tension between the Emmerdale actor and the former footballer escalated during a Bushtucker trial on Tuesday's episode. After hosts Ant and Dec announced that the last two contestants to complete the challenge would be evicted, Bullard decided to quit. Thomas reacted angrily, calling Bullard a “prick” and shouting, “What is up with you? Tell me why? All you had to do was run through some f***ing mud and you said get me out of here.”
Following the broadcast, an insider claimed that much of the confrontation was cut from the final edit. The source alleged that Thomas “completely lost it and went for Jimmy. He called him a c*** and Jimmy believes that he tried to kick him, too.” The insider added that Bullard was “devastated” and felt Thomas’s behaviour was “vile, vicious, and violent.”
ITV's Response
However, an ITV spokesperson has categorically denied the claims, telling the Daily Mirror: “This is categorically not true. Adam did not try to kick Jimmy.” While Thomas was visibly angry and did kick a door in the trial area, the spokesperson emphasised that the kick was “nowhere near” Bullard and was included in the broadcast. “We show an accurate and fair representation of events,” the spokesperson added.
Sinitta's Account
Singer Sinitta, who was also in the jungle, later shared her perspective on the row. In a video, she recalled a “massive fight” and said she heard the “c-word” being shouted repeatedly. She expressed concern that the argument was not being broken up and noted that Bullard was struggling after his close friend Gemma Collins left the camp. Sinitta also revealed that Bullard had confided in her about his father’s illness, which contributed to his decision to quit.
Thomas, who suffers from psoriatic arthritis, was allowed to remain in the competition after a vote from his fellow campmates. The Daily Mirror has approached representatives for both Thomas and Bullard for further comment.
