Isa Briones, the actor who plays Dr Trinity Santos in the hit HBO series The Pitt, has criticised fans for shouting references to the show during her Broadway performance. Briones is currently starring in the musical Just in Time in New York.
In an Instagram post, Briones wrote: “Once again, Broadway is not a circus. Do not yell whatever you want at the performers. Yelling ‘when are you going to finish your charts’ before I sing… is fucking disrespectful to the performers onstage and your fellow audience members. Y’all are pissin’ me off.” She added a reminder that audience members are “occupying shared spaces and watching art”.
Briones made her Broadway debut in 2024 as Eurydice in Hadestown and began playing Connie Francis in Just in Time in April. The jukebox musical tells the story of US singer-songwriter Bobby Darin.
Since its premiere in 2025, The Pitt has become hugely popular, topping Nielsen’s streaming charts with more than one billion minutes of watch time for eight consecutive weeks. The second season is expected to dominate the Emmys in September, following a first season that won five awards including best drama series.
Briones’s co-star Patrick Ball, who also performs on Broadway, has spoken positively about fan interactions, telling a podcast that meeting supporters at the stage door has been “a blessing”.
