Ethan Jamieson, the 27-year-old former child star known for his role in The Hunger Games, has been arrested for the second time in a month. The actor, who played a District 4 tribute in the 2012 blockbuster starring Jennifer Lawrence, was taken into custody for allegedly violating a protective order by possessing a firearm, according to TMZ. The Daily Mail has reached out to Jamieson's representative for comment.
Details of the Arrest
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Jamieson was arrested in Wake County, North Carolina, on Tuesday after authorities determined he had violated a valid protective order issued against him. He was released after posting a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 10.
This latest arrest follows a troubling period for the actor. Last month, on April 8, he was arrested on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill. That incident allegedly occurred in Raleigh, North Carolina, on March 23, when Jamieson reportedly fired a 9mm semi-automatic handgun at a vehicle containing three individuals, identified in documents as E.F., J.M., and K.W. Police responded to reports of shots fired at 9:52 p.m. local time and later identified Jamieson as the suspect. He was charged accordingly.
Previous Legal Issues
In March 2025, Jamieson was arrested and charged with resisting arrest. He was sentenced for that offense on March 26, 2026, just three days before the alleged assault. The incident also took place in Raleigh, where Jamieson currently resides.
Acting Career
Prior to his recent legal troubles, Jamieson had a brief career as a child star. He made his acting debut in a 2009 episode of One Tree Hill as 'Kid #2.' In 2010, he starred in the TV movie The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16 and appeared in the short film Gravity. His most prominent role came in 2012 when he was cast in The Hunger Games, alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. He also appeared in the 2012 documentary The World Is Watching: Making the Hunger Games and the 2017 mini-series Extras: The Hunger Games. His last acting credit was in 2013, when he appeared in an episode of the crime series Justified as Milo Truth.
After the success of The Hunger Games, a 13-year-old Jamieson told LancasterOnline in March 2012, 'I knew that the books were popular, but I didn't know that the movie was going to be so big.' He described fan recognition at the Los Angeles red carpet premiere as 'pretty awesome' but stated he did not want to pursue acting full-time, saying, 'I want to be just a normal person.'
