Helen Flanagan has expressed her desire for her next relationship to be her final one, as she navigates a difficult feud with her ex-partner, footballer Scott Sinclair. The 35-year-old Coronation Street actress, who split from Sinclair in 2022 after 13 years together, said in a recent interview that she believes her next romance will lead to marriage.
“I do feel that when I do next have my next relationship, I think it will be my husband,” Flanagan told interviewer Lewis Nicholls. “I think it will be the real thing. I will choose to protect it and I will keep that private.” She added that she won’t waste time on aimless dating, stating: “My next relationship I have I think will be my husband, because I won’t be wasting my time, really.”
The mother of three, who recently appeared on Celebrity Ex On The Beach, also revealed concerns that she may have been too honest in her autobiography, Head & Heart: Break-ups, Breakdowns and Being Rosie. “I don’t know, maybe if I was too honest in my book a little bit, but it’s done now,” she said. “The book is there, so there’s no taking it back. I was actually talking about mental health, and wanted to give context to it.”
Earlier this year, it was alleged that Sinclair was forcing Flanagan and their three children to leave the six-bedroom house they once shared near Bolton. During a visit to Scotland, she shared a cryptic post on social media: “No weapon used against me shall prosper. Love wins. I found this spot at Loch Lomond in lockdown and it’s just special to me.”
