Axed Gladiators Star Giant Hits Out at BBC Over Ultimatum

Jamie Bigg, known as Giant on the BBC's Gladiators reboot, has spoken out about his departure from the show, claiming he was given an ultimatum over his relationship with OnlyFans model Taylor Ryan. The 40-year-old from Ilkeston, Derbyshire, appeared on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday to clarify that his exit was not voluntary.

Bigg said that after a positive third series, the BBC raised concerns about his relationship with Ryan. He was later told his contract would not be renewed for season four. 'It wasn't explained,' he said. 'My dismissal's been very unclear.' He emphasised that Giant is a character and Jamie is a person with a private relationship, calling it an 'injustice' for fans.

The star revealed he began dating Ryan after filming season three, but once they went public, discussions began behind the scenes. 'We didn't get any real information off the back of that, other than your contract's not being renewed for season four,' he added. He refuted the BBC's initial statement that he had walked away, saying he faced an ultimatum that conflicted with his values as a role model.
