A Florida couple who documented their life on the road have been found dead inside their motorhome in an apparent murder-suicide. Anissa Osborne, 56, and her husband Christopher Osborne, 51, were discovered with gunshot wounds at Ocean Pond Campground in Osceola National Forest on Sunday.
The couple worked as hosts at the campsite, managing operations and assisting visitors since December. They were known for cheerfully sharing their “tiny life” on social media platforms Facebook and Instagram. Christopher had posted a tribute to Anissa, a former nurse, just months ago, writing: “My wife, my angel. I can’t live without you.”
Officers from the Baker County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check requested by other campers. Authorities believe Christopher shot Anissa before turning the gun on himself. The deaths are being investigated by the sheriff’s office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the state Medical Examiner’s Office.
Relatives paid tribute to the couple. Christopher’s aunt, Sharon Alvarez, noted his frequent posts expressing love for his wife. Anissa’s cousin, Laura Lorenzo Curry, described her as a “very happy, free spirit” with a “vibrant, bubbly personality.” Another cousin, Deborah Helm Sells, expressed anger on Facebook but acknowledged Anissa would want forgiveness.
Anissa’s Facebook page featured regular selfies with her husband and dogs, portraying a happy couple. Her recent posts included custom artwork for their home and a video of snowfall, captioned: “God reminds us sometimes to slow down, take a pause, and re-set.”
