Florida Couple Found Dead in RV Murder-Suicide

A woman who joyfully chronicled her life with her husband while living in an RV at a Florida campground has been found dead alongside him in a suspected murder-suicide.

The Discovery

Anissa Osborne, 56, and her husband Christopher Osborne, 51, were discovered dead inside their recreational vehicle at Ocean Pond Campground in Olustee on Sunday. Neighbors called police after failing to reach the couple, according to News 4 Jax.

Authorities arrived to find both victims with fatal gunshot wounds. Investigators believe Christopher shot his wife before turning the gun on himself, as reported by First Coast News.

Family in Shock

Relatives are struggling to accept the possibility of a murder-suicide. Christopher's aunt, Sharon Alvarez, told First Coast News, 'To know that he killed her... this makes no sense.'

On social media, the couple appeared deeply in love. Christopher once commented on a photo, 'My wife, my angel. I can't live without you.'

Anissa's cousin, Laura Lorenzo Curry, described Christopher as 'such a sweet soul' but acknowledged, 'Sometimes sweet souls can have a lot of things we don't even know about.'

A Happy Life on the Road

The couple married 15 years ago, after which Anissa left her nursing career to live in the RV with Christopher. They became campground hosts in early December, managing operations and assisting visitors.

Curry recalled Anissa saying, 'I love my tiny life,' and described her as 'very, very happy' and 'a free spirit.' Another camp host last saw Anissa on Thursday, dropping off soaps, but grew concerned when she hadn't seen either by Saturday.

Ongoing Investigation

The Baker County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and Medical Examiner's Office continue to investigate. Family members are grieving and seeking answers.

Anissa's cousin, Deborah Helm Sells, expressed anger and forgiveness on Facebook, writing, 'RIP Christopher Osborne, I am so angry at you right now... but I know she would tell me to forgive you.'
