Ex-Lover Accuses Trump Foe Thomas Massie of Affair with Lauren Boebert
Ex-Lover Accuses Massie of Affair with Boebert

President Donald Trump's top Capitol Hill nemesis is facing explosive allegations from an alleged ex-lover in the final hours of a heated Republican primary campaign. Cynthia West, who claims she dated Kentucky Republican Congressman Thomas Massie for five months after the death of his first wife, Rhonda, unleashed a series of accusations in an interview with conservative provocateur Laura Loomer.

Allegations of an Affair and a 'Boner Phone'

In the interview published Monday, West alleged that Massie used a burner phone he called a 'boner phone' and boasted about an intimate relationship with Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, referring to her as the 'hottest woman in Congress.' Neither Boebert nor Massie's offices responded to requests for comment, and neither had addressed the claims as of Monday night. Both were single at the time of the alleged affair.

Trump Weighs In

The Massie-Gallrein primary is seen as a key test of Trump's influence over the Republican Party. Trump retaliated against Boebert for campaigning with Massie, calling her 'Weak Minded Lauren Boebert' on Truth Social. Boebert replied on X, stating she was 'not mad or offended.'

Text Messages and Hush Money Claims

Loomer also published text messages allegedly showing Massie referring to his penis as a 'Pinecone.' The Daily Mail could not verify the messages. Last week, West accused Massie of offering $5,000 in hush money, which Massie has denied.

West, a former Capitol Hill staffer now seeking a school board seat in Florida, said she began a relationship with Massie after he contacted her on X in August 2024, shortly after his wife's death. She alleged Massie encouraged her to move to Washington and helped her get a job in the office of Indiana Republican Victoria Spartz. Legistorm shows West worked for Spartz for about three months in late 2024 to early 2025.

Spartz's office issued a statement denying knowledge of any settlement proposal and said West's temporary employment was not extended due to 'concerning conduct.' Massie stated, 'There are no ethics claims filed against me, nor have there ever been any claims filed against me in my 14 years in office.'

Primary Battle Heats Up

Massie has tried to hold his seat by highlighting Gallrein's past opposition to Trump, presenting voter registration cards showing Gallrein left the GOP after Trump's 2016 win. A Massie TV ad calls Gallrein 'woke Eddie.' Gallrein's campaign did not dispute the ad's validity. Recent polling shows Gallrein leading Massie 52% to 44%, with a 4.7% margin of error. Trump hopes to add Massie to his list of primary victories, which includes Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy and several Indiana state senators.
