Epstein and Maxwell 'plotted to impregnate Virginia Giuffre for sex ring'
Epstein and Maxwell's 'baby plot' revealed in memoir

In a harrowing posthumous memoir, sex trafficking survivor Virginia Giuffre alleged that Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell pressured her to have a child for their depraved purposes, a claim she said was the final catalyst for her escape.

The 'House of Shame' and a Chilling Proposition

Giuffre's book, Nobody's Girl, published in October 2025, recounts her ordeal after being groomed as a teenage spa attendant at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. She details how Maxwell, now imprisoned for sex trafficking, recruited her under the pretence of massage work for the well-connected financier Epstein.

She was soon thrust into what she called a "shadowy world of abuse," trafficked to wealthy and powerful men. Among those she accused is Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, whom she alleged sexually abused her on three occasions in 2001. The prince has consistently and vehemently denied all allegations.

The Baby Plot That Forced an Escape

Giuffre described numerous terrifying encounters, but one specific demand filled her with a unique horror. She claimed Epstein and Maxwell piled pressure on her to have Epstein's baby and to sign over all parental rights to him.

Pondering their motivations, a terrifying thought took hold. "What if the baby were female?" she wrote. "Was the plan for Epstein and Maxwell to have me bring that little girl up until she reached puberty, then hand her over for them to abuse?" This potential plot to use an infant in their sex ring was the moment she knew she had to flee the "house of shame."

A New Life and a Lasting Legacy

By 2003, Giuffre said Epstein was losing interest as she was getting "too old for him." She seized an opportunity, convincing him to let her train as a masseuse in Thailand. While there, she met and married Australian Robert Giuffre within days in 2002, building a new life in Australia.

When she informed Epstein she would not return, he reportedly said, "Have a nice life," and hung up. Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide in April 2025 aged 41, later founded the non-profit SOAR (Speak Out, Act, Reclaim) to empower survivors of sex trafficking.

Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to twenty years in prison in June 2022 for sex trafficking and related crimes. Jeffrey Epstein died in his jail cell in August 2019, in a death ruled a suicide.
