Jeremy Clarkson celebrated until the early hours of Sunday morning after the Hawkstone Farmers' Choir, which he put together, won Britain's Got Talent. The former Top Gear presenter, 66, said his 'head hurts' after partying with the choir and judge Amanda Holden at a London pub following the victory.
The Hawkstone Farmers' Choir became the first choir to win the ITV talent show on Saturday. Clarkson, looking emotional, applauded as they performed in the final. He said: 'The atmosphere was incredible and then we learned Arsenal had lost which made it even better. We all went to the pub afterwards and this morning, my head hurts. Despite this, I'm so happy for them.'
Choir member Katryna Shell said: 'Winning is wild. The support has been overwhelming. We stayed up until 4.30am partying with Celestial [runners-up], Jeremy and Amanda Holden. It's not often you make history, so why not?'
Meanwhile, at Clarkson's pub, The Farmer's Dog in Oxfordshire, co-star Kaleb Cooper and the rest of the cast celebrated. The pub posted a clip on social media showing crowds leaping in celebration, with the caption: 'Scenes from @thefarmersdogpub. @thehawkstonefarmerschoir, @bgt 2026 champions #backbritishfarming.'
In a post on Simon Cowell's Instagram, Clarkson thanked the judge, saying: 'These guys worked so hard, it's the best thing ever Simon, thank you for having them.' Cowell agreed, calling the choir 'great winners'. The choir will receive a £250,000 cash prize and perform at the Royal Variety Performance.
