Seven Arrested After Knife Brawl at Selfridges on Oxford Street

Seven people have been arrested following a violent brawl at Selfridges department store on Oxford Street, London, which left one man with a stab wound to the leg. The incident occurred at approximately 7.35pm on Saturday, 8 May, shocking shoppers and staff.

A staff member described the scene, saying the fight erupted “out of nowhere” near the Burberry section. He told The Sun that six men chased a young man across the beauty hall before stabbing him in the leg. The victim fainted near the toilets, but his injuries are not thought to be serious.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers attended the scene and found a male with a stab injury. He was taken to hospital and is among seven people arrested on suspicion of affray. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Selfridges released a statement saying: “We can confirm there was an incident in store on Saturday evening. The safety of our team members and customers is our utmost priority and we are doing all we can to support the police with their investigation.”
