Bradley Walsh has seemingly taken himself out of the running for the hosting job on Strictly Come Dancing. The 65-year-old TV star was considered a top choice to replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who departed the show last year.
However, Walsh announced on Instagram that his tribute band, The Prat Pack, will embark on a tour starting September 2. The tour schedule clashes with Strictly's pre-records and live shows, making it logistically difficult for him to take on the presenting role.
A source told The Sun: “Bradley’s announcement looks to be the surest sign yet he’s not the new Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The Prat Pack perform as a foursome so there’s no chance Bradley can be covered for clashes.”
The tour runs throughout September, when Strictly typically begins its pre-season preparations. The BBC has not yet confirmed the new host, with other names like Rylan Clark, Zoe Ball, and Angela Scanlon also rumoured.
