Tech Billionaire Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Global Abuse Campaign

In a harrowing legal case that spans continents, Natalia Chernysheva has filed a lawsuit accusing her former partner, billionaire tech entrepreneur Serg Bell, of subjecting her to years of systematic abuse, control, and violence during their six-year relationship. The allegations, detailed in a Florida court filing, paint a disturbing picture of a relationship marked by alleged physical assaults, psychological manipulation, and financial dependency.

A Waking Nightmare in Tuscany

The lawsuit centers on a particularly brutal alleged incident in November 2020 at the secluded Renieri di Montalcino estate in Tuscany, Italy. Chernysheva claims she awoke with severe pain and fragmented memories after a night she could not fully recall. Searching for answers, she reportedly accessed the villa's surveillance system.

'When I woke up the next day with pain in my body, I remember something very, very bad happened… but I just couldn't remember,' Chernysheva told the Daily Mail. 'So that's when I checked the cameras.'

What she allegedly witnessed on footage was horrifying: Bell reportedly grabbing her by the neck and strangling her before adopting a martial arts stance and proceeding to strike and kick her as she lay on the floor until she lost consciousness. The Daily Mail has not independently verified the footage.

According to the lawsuit, after the alleged attack, Bell calmly tied his shoelaces before walking away, leaving his assistant—who allegedly did not intervene—to lift Chernysheva onto a couch. 'That showed me how cruel Serg actually is,' she stated.

Pattern of Control and Violence

The Tuscany incident was reportedly just one episode in a global pattern of abuse that Chernysheva claims occurred from Paris to Palm Beach, Singapore to Abu Dhabi. The 42-year-old alleges that Bell, 54, exerted near-total control over her life through:

  • Monitoring her spending and confiscating her cards
  • Restricting her movements and isolating her from friends and family
  • Making her financially dependent on him
  • Enforcing control through escalating violence

'[Bell] made me believe I couldn't leave because there was nothing beyond him; life is him. He put that in my mind from the beginning,' Chernysheva explained.

Escalation to Sexual Coercion and Reproductive Control

The lawsuit describes how the alleged abuse intensified over time, with Chernysheva claiming Bell would:

  1. Shove and shake her in the middle of the night
  2. Jump on her while she slept
  3. Progress to punching and strangulation
  4. Force her to perform oral sex, refusing to let her sleep until she complied

She alleges that Bell's 'uncontrollable rage' became constant, with attacks sometimes occurring in front of business associates, employees, and even Bell's parents—yet no one intervened, according to her claims.

The Breaking Point: Pregnancy and Miscarriage

A particularly devastating alleged incident occurred in April 2022 when Chernysheva told Bell she was pregnant after undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). The lawsuit claims that hours of violence followed this announcement, with Bell allegedly grabbing, shoving, and chasing her from room to room.

She says she pleaded with him to stop as she experienced severe abdominal pain, but he refused to get help. Three days later, she claims she miscarried. 'It was my last hope that something would change in our relationship,' Chernysheva said. 'When he demonstrated to me that he doesn't care about how I feel... I knew that was it.'

Secret Recordings and Psychological Warfare

As the alleged abuse continued, Chernysheva began secretly recording Bell's outbursts to preserve evidence. 'Being abused can break your reality,' she explained. 'You know the things are happening but [Bell] convinced me that it didn't or that it was my fault... So I started to make recordings for myself.'

The lawsuit cites several alleged recordings, including one from Abu Dhabi in November 2018 where she claims Bell smashed her jaw and responded sarcastically when confronted. Another from November 2017 allegedly captures Bell threatening: 'Once I kill you, I'll bury you.'

When she confronted him with these recordings, she claims he showed no remorse, instead denying the abuse, calling her crazy, or threatening self-harm to silence her.

Financial Power and Isolation Tactics

The relationship reportedly began in 2012 but became serious in 2016 when Bell pursued Chernysheva intensely with grand gestures and luxury trips. According to the lawsuit, he pressured her to leave her director-level retail job to travel with him, positioning it as a more 'stable' move.

Once she was financially dependent, Chernysheva alleges the dynamic shifted dramatically. She claims he treated her salary like an allowance, monitored her spending, and isolated her from her support network, making escape increasingly difficult as the abuse escalated.

Legal Response and Ongoing Case

Bell, born in the Soviet Union and now a Singapore citizen, founded several companies including Swiss cybersecurity firm Acronis, once valued at $4 billion. He stepped down as CEO in 2021 and is no longer associated with the company.

When approached for comment by the Daily Mail, Bell—formerly known as Serguei Beloussov—called the allegations 'fake' and described the lawsuit as a 'pure and baseless attack.' His legal representatives stated: 'We are committed to a vigorous legal defense and will pursue this matter through the appropriate legal channels. This is where our full focus and resources will remain and not in the court of public opinion.'

Aftermath and Seeking Justice

After leaving the relationship, Chernysheva claims Bell continued to threaten her and her family, cut her off financially, and changed the locks. She says it took more than a year to feel any sense of normalcy and that she now suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), leaving her permanently affected both emotionally and physically.

'I am ready now,' she declared. 'I have my voice back. I have my courage back. And I want other people to see exactly who Serguei Beloussov is.'

The lawsuit, filed in December 2025, seeks damages for what it describes as profound physical, emotional, and economic harm. The case remains ongoing as both parties prepare for what promises to be a contentious legal battle.
