Alex Jones Trolled for Epstein Files Silence with Labubu Doll Post
Alex Jones ridiculed for ignoring Epstein files

Infowars host and prominent conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is facing widespread ridicule on social media after he posted a festive video featuring a popular children's toy, rather than commenting on the US Department of Justice's major release of documents related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Online Mockery for Festive Doll Post

In a video shared to X on Sunday 29 December 2025, Jones was seen posing with a Labubu doll perched on his knee. He declared the creature a "populist" and a "freedom fighter" who "believes in Team Humanity," before chanting the TikTok phrase "Six-seven, baby!"

This light-hearted post stood in stark contrast to the serious nature of the Epstein files released by the DOJ, which have dominated headlines. The conspicuous silence from Jones, who has built a career on alleging elite misconduct, prompted immediate and scornful reactions online.

Gun control activist David Hogg wrote: "Imagine spending decades saying the government is controlled by pedophiles but because it turns out it’s your buddy you have to post whatever the f*** this is." Jones engaged with several critics humorously before appearing to lose patience, explaining the video was a joke conceived by his 21-year-old daughter.

Jones's Contradictory History with the Epstein Case

This recent silence belies Jones's previously vocal interest in the Epstein scandal. In July, he reacted with visible distress to an FBI and DOJ memo stating no "client list" from Epstein would be unearthed. In a dashboard camera video, Jones called the development an "unmitigated disaster" and expressed nausea, criticising the Trump administration for becoming "part of the cover-up."

By August, he was taking former President Donald Trump to task for dismissing revived interest in Epstein as "bulls***," warning of a "Streisand effect." However, his stance shifted again by November. When Democrats released a batch of subpoenaed emails from Epstein's estate, Infowars published a headline defending Trump, calling the emails "cherry-picked."

Political Repercussions and Greene's Allegations

While Jones has avoided the latest DOJ disclosures, which do not imply wrongdoing by Trump, another influential right-wing figure has been openly critical. Outgoing Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has fallen out with Trump, gave an interview to The New York Times on Monday 30 December.

Greene alleged that Trump had yelled at her earlier in the year over her support for releasing the Epstein files. She claimed the former president said he opposed their publication because, "My friends will get hurt." This allegation adds a significant political dimension to the ongoing fallout from the document dump, highlighting tensions within the Republican party.

The juxtaposition of Jones's playful doll video with a genuine sex trafficking scandal involving global elites has cemented his current round of online mockery, with critics accusing him of selective outrage and hypocrisy.
