British Atheter Crowned Champion After Controversial Disqualification

Andrea Thompson, a 43-year-old athlete from Great Britain, has been declared the winner of the World's Strongest Woman contest after the original champion was stripped of the title. The decision came after organisers determined that the initial winner, American Jammie Booker, was biologically male.

The controversy erupted at the 2025 World's Strongest Woman event in Arlington, Texas, where Booker, 28, was controversially crowned champion last weekend. However, by Tuesday, organisers had disqualified Booker after fellow competitors received explicit pictures and videos that appeared to show Booker is a transgender ex-porn star.

Shocking Abuse Targets New Champion

Since being promoted to champion, Andrea Thompson has faced a torrent of online abuse. She shared a screenshot on Instagram showing one particularly vile message that read: 'YOU LOST. You know damn well Jamie beat you. You're less of a woman than Jamie.'

Thompson referenced other abuse she has received, writing: 'I'm disgusting apparently for losing and being upset about it'. The British strongwoman has found herself at the centre of a firestorm not of her making, facing criticism from social media trolls despite simply accepting the title after organisers made their ruling.

Organisers Take Firm Stance on Competition Rules

Official Strongman Games released a bombshell statement explaining their decision to disqualify Booker. 'It appears that an athlete who is biologically male and who now identifies as female competed in the Women's Open category,' the organisation stated.

The statement continued: 'An attempt has been made to contact the competitor involved but a response has not been received. We are clear - competitors can only compete in the category for the biological sex recorded at birth.'

A Daily Mail investigation uncovered evidence suggesting Booker had previously worked in pornography under the name Jammie Jay. The IAFD (internet adult film database) shows that Jammie Jay was nominated for an award in the 'Trans Erotica Awards Show' in both 2020 and 2022.

Fellow competitors Hailey Sikman and Jade Dickens, who both participated in the Texas event, revealed that nobody knew about Booker's gender until after the competition ended. Dickens told Fox News Digital: 'Had I known, I definitely would have done something about it, personally would have done something about it prior to the event being over. But nobody knew. Nobody knew he was a man.'

Sikman described Booker as 'arrogant' during the competition, while Dickens suggested the reason Booker 'didn't talk much was because his voice would have revealed he was male.' The controversy has sparked intense debate about transgender participation in women's sports, with Thompson becoming an unintended focal point in the discussion.
