Darts Star Cameron Menzies Finds New Love After Split from Fallon Sherrock
Cameron Menzies in New Relationship After Sherrock Split

Darts professional Cameron Menzies has embarked on a new romantic chapter, confirming a relationship with Suzanne Lewis after his highly publicised split from fellow darts star Fallon Sherrock. The 36-year-old athlete, known for his intense on-stage performances, shared affectionate photographs on his Instagram account this week, showcasing moments with his new partner.

A New Beginning After Dart's Power Couple Era

Menzies and Sherrock, often dubbed dart's power couple, were in a relationship for four years before parting ways last summer. Their romance captivated the darts community, with Sherrock earning the nickname 'Queen of the Ally Pally' for her achievements at Alexandra Palace. The end of this high-profile pairing marked a significant personal shift for Menzies, who has now publicly embraced his new connection with Lewis.

In a recent social media post, Lewis expressed her gratitude, writing: 'Thankful for you @cameron.menzies.7.' The upload featured heart emojis and kisses, signalling a positive turn in Menzies' personal life amidst past professional challenges.

Reflecting on a Turbulent Period

Menzies' personal revelation comes as he continues to address a difficult phase in his career, notably his shocking outburst at the World Darts Championship last year. Following a defeat to Charlie Manby, Menzies launched a flurry of punches at a table and placed his hand in a stage firework, resulting in severe injuries that required surgery and ongoing treatment.

In an interview with Oche 180, Menzies candidly discussed the aftermath: 'I've been struggling massively. A few times I've felt like wrapping it. I'm just not in a good place that way.' He detailed the physical toll, noting: 'Basically I've no feeling in my fingers anymore because of the damage I've done. I couldn't feel my fingers for six weeks. I had to go through surgery. I've still to go through hand treatment and trauma.'

Menzies emphasised that his actions were inexcusable, stating: 'I've made a massive mistake in my life. You can see the scar. I have to live with that. I was lucky it was not as bad as what it could have been. I'm not proud of it.' He acknowledged the potential career-ending severity of the incident, adding: 'I'm lucky I can still play because it could have been severed.'

Context and Apologies

The darts star linked his emotional state to personal grief, revealing the recent loss of his uncle Gary, whose funeral coincided with a potential second-round match at the championships. However, Menzies was quick to clarify: 'Let me say again, that's no excuse for what I did on the stage. It was the wrong thing to do and I don't want it to take anything away from Charlie.'

In December, Menzies shared that he had apologised directly to Manby, who accepted the gesture. Manby revealed in a social media post: 'He understood that I was caught up in my own moment of frustration and that it was nothing personal towards him, or his win. It was very important to speak to him about that, and I am grateful he never once thought I was directing anything at him.'

Menzies expressed remorse for how the incident might affect his public image: 'This is not how I would like people to view me. Yes I can get emotional at times, but not like that and that wasn't right.' He thanked supporters for their messages, noting his hand is on the mend and wishing everyone a festive season.

As Menzies navigates recovery and his new relationship with Suzanne Lewis, the darts community watches his journey of personal and professional redemption unfold.
