Trump clashes with heckler over 'fat a**' jibe

US President Donald Trump faced a heckler at a recent rally who shouted a crude insult about his buttocks, prompting a sharp response from the 80-year-old president.

The protester cried out, "Shove that ballroom up your fat ass," as Trump addressed gathered supporters. The remark referenced the controversial White House ballroom, which is being built at a cost of $400 million. Earlier this year, the Senate removed more than $1 billion in taxpayer funding for security upgrades to the building. The project began in October last year after the destruction of the historic East Wing, which had served as the traditional base of operations for the First Lady for over 100 years.

Trump's Response

In response, Trump told the person to "go home" before telling the crowd that protesters are "paid" to be there, though he did not specify by whom.

The disruption comes as the House Judiciary Committee Democrats released a report on the government's "efforts to cover up" the Epstein files.

Recent Disruptions

This is not the only disruption the president has faced in recent days. He appeared to "glitch" during a midterm rally in South Carolina on October 21, making a strange "blurp" noise when discussing "the governor" Nikki Haley. The next day, he made "ji-ee," "bow," and "ping" noises, confusing those gathered behind him.

Trump also brought up his mental capacity during a rally in Kansas last week, bragging about getting a perfect score on a cognitive test. He told the crowd, "They have another one where they give you five words. The doctor actually said, 'Well, sir, here's the problem. If you do well, that's fine. If you do poorly, it's going to be a big story. And no other president was willing to take it.'"

Next Rally

Despite the glitches, Trump attended another rally yesterday in support of Michigan Republican candidate Mike Rogers. During the event, he got distracted by Nicki Minaj's figure, declaring, "By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before – Nicki Minaj." The rapper stood up, reportedly dressed in a Gucci jacket and matching skirt, and received applause from the crowd. She has been rumoured to be the new Press Secretary after becoming a fixture of the MAGA movement, having accepted a role in the Trump administration last November.
