Newly published photographs show Donald Trump aide Natalie Harp sprinting after his golf cart at his Scottish course at Turnberry, after letters she sent him confessing her devotion were published.

Harp, 35, an executive assistant nicknamed the "human printer" because she frequently hands the President printouts of flattering news stories and cherry-picked poll numbers, is reported to have left "intimate" letters for him to find. Letters published by US website the Daily Beast included phrases like "You are all that matters to me" and "I don't ever want to let you down...I want to bring you joy."

Apology over walking the course

In one letter, Harp apologised for a 2023 incident at Turnberry, Ayrshire, where she followed him around the golf course on foot instead of riding in a cart. She told Trump, who was running for re-election at the time, that she was sorry "if I was an embarrassment walking the course in Scotland." She added: "If there is anything else I have done to cause you trouble, please forgive me...I want things to always be right between us....you are all that matters to me. I don't want to ever let you down. Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this Life."

Pictures published by the Mirror show Harp running full-tilt uphill after Trump's cart on the first day of his trip to Turnberry on 2 May 2023. In the images, Trump is driving away from "Halfway House", a lighthouse marking the midway point of the course.

Explanation and security clearance

In a letter written during or shortly after the trip, Harp explained: "The first day I was told there were no carts, and people walked, which is why I walked. The second day, I was specifically asked by, I forget who his name was, but one of the main people who worked there, if I could continue walking, and tell any other girls who would head out there to do the same to spare the Course any more Carts." She added: "If there is anything else I have done to cause you trouble, please forgive me."

Harp became a main character in Trumpworld last week when she was name-checked by Democrat Senator Jon Ossoff in a speech. He made a pointed remark about Trump choosing her to fly out of Turkey in his secret escape plane, after the threat of an Iranian assassination attempt forced him to abandon Air Force One. Only Harp, two other aides and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth were on Trump's plane, while the travelling press corps and several cabinet members flew aboard the decoy Air Force One.

Role in Trumpworld

In his speech, Ossoff said: "He doesn't want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar."

Harp, who is said to work seven days a week and never take a day off, is a permanent fixture outside the Oval Office. She is a gatekeeper to people seeking to meet the President and is said to have access to his communications and social media accounts, often helping him craft posts on Truth Social. This week MSNOW revealed she had worked in the White House for more than a year without seeking routine security clearances, which have since been granted.

Formerly a presenter on right-wing streaming channel One America News Network, Harp caught the President's eye after she credited him with saving her life. She has said legislation Trump passed during his first term allowed her to get experimental treatment for bone cancer. Harp joined his 2024 campaign team, reportedly going to extreme lengths to maintain proximity to Trump, including sleeping in the women's locker room at his Bedminster golf resort in New Jersey for an entire summer after she was not given a room at the hotel. She is also said to have ridden in the boot of an SUV to remain close to him.
