ITV's The 1% Club Renewed for Three More Years

ITV has confirmed that its award-winning quiz show, The 1% Club, will continue for another three years, with more special episodes and rollovers, and comedian Lee Mack remaining as host. The announcement comes four years after the programme first debuted on the network.

Outstanding Success

The 1% Club has become the biggest homegrown quiz show in over a decade, consistently attracting more than five million viewers per episode. Since its launch, the show has amassed over 60 million streams and reached an impressive 43 million people. It has firmly established itself as a cornerstone of ITV's Saturday night lineup, blending humour, brainpower, and entertainment that appeals to families.

International Acclaim

Beyond the UK, The 1% Club has achieved remarkable global recognition, becoming one of the most sought-after original British entertainment formats in recent memory. The show has won numerous accolades, including three consecutive National TV Awards for Best Quiz Show, two Broadcast Awards for Best Entertainment, and a Rose d'Or for Best Entertainment Show. Host Lee Mack has also received two BAFTA nominations for Best Entertainment Performance.

Reactions to the Renewal

Lee Mack expressed his delight at the renewal, saying, "I'm delighted that ITV have given us three more series to discover Great British clever clogs. I just told my family how old I would be when these three series are over, but apparently I got it wrong. Which shows you how well I'd do as a contestant."

Sue Murphy, ITV's Director of Factual Entertainment, commented: "We're thrilled to be renewing The 1% Club for a further three years. The show has become a huge hit with viewers of all ages. With Lee at the helm as always, we can't wait to bring more series and specials to the viewers. It's a brilliant entertainment show with a unique format that viewers love to play along with at home, and its broad appeal makes it a hugely valuable part of our slate on ITV."

Dean Nabarro and Andy Auerbach, Executive Producers and creators of The 1% Club, added: "It's a wonderful vote of confidence that ITV have commissioned three more years of the show and we're delighted that so many more people will now get the chance to join The 1% Club."

Upcoming Specials

Over the next three years, ITV will commission additional series and specials of The 1% Club. The 1% Club Rollover is set to return later this year, while The 1% Club Kids Special will air later this month.

Fan Reactions

Fans have taken to social media to express their enthusiasm. One viewer posted: "The 1% Club is fantastic and Lee Mack is the perfect host." Another added: "This game show is different. You don't need to be a brainiac or have a vast amount of general knowledge." A third fan commented: "Absolutely love this programme. Great format, well presented and produced and very inclusive as everyone can give it a go."

The 1% Club is available to stream on ITVX.
