The attack killed at least 12 individuals and injured seven others, while also sparking a fire at the scene.
Energy firm DTEK, which owned the bus, condemned the incident as a "large-scale terrorist attack on DTEK mines in the Dnipropetrovsk region". This violent act underscores the ongoing hostilities that continue to plague the region, even as diplomatic channels are being pursued.
