The trip included a meeting with Premier Zhou Enlai, a banquet where Nixon famously used chopsticks, and tours of the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. Gerald Ford in 1975

President Gerald Ford visited China from 1 to 5 December 1975, accompanied by his wife Betty and daughter Susan, as well as George H.W. Bush and Henry Kissinger. Highlights included a visit to the Temple of Heaven and a meeting with Chairman Mao Zedong.

Ronald Reagan’s 1984 Trip

Bill Clinton’s 1998 Journey

George W. Bush in 2008
