Jemima Goldsmith, also known as Jemima Khan, has put her west London mansion on the market for £6.5 million. The TV and film producer bought the five-bedroom property, Britannia Studios, in 1999 while married to cricketer and former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan.
Friends say she is seeking a fresh start now that her sons and stepdaughter have moved out. “After nearly 30 years here, my kids have moved out and I've finally decided to move,” Ms Goldsmith told the Mail on Sunday.
The property, on the Chelsea–Fulham border, has been compared to a New York loft, featuring a 49ft open-plan living space and interiors that blend faded grandeur with bohemian comfort.
Ms Goldsmith, daughter of the late financier Sir James Goldsmith and his second wife Lady Annabel Goldsmith, divorced Mr Khan in 2004. Friends reportedly said her attachment to the property diminished following her mother’s death in October at the age of 91.
The Mail on Sunday also revealed last month that Ms Goldsmith is engaged to James O'Reilly, son of the late Irish media magnate Sir Anthony O'Reilly. Friends claim she now plans to divide her time between Mr O’Reilly’s home in Switzerland and her £15 million manor house in the Cotswolds.
