In a recent podcast episode that left both host and viewers stunned, Tucker Carlson and his brother Buckley Carlson floated explosive and unsubstantiated claims regarding the sexuality of prominent Democratic figures Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. The discussion took a bizarre turn as Buckley Carlson interjected with a question about whether the 2026 Democratic presidential nominee is "still with her girlfriend, who's married to George Soros' son."
Shocking Allegations Surface
Buckley Carlson's comment appeared to reference Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton's former chief of staff and vice chair of her 2016 presidential campaign, who is married to Alex Soros, the son of billionaire donor George Soros. "Most people don't talk about that," Buckley continued, adding, "They should." The remark prompted an immediate and visibly uncomfortable reaction from Tucker Carlson, who stammered out a response while his brother repeatedly apologized.
Tucker Carlson's Awkward Response
"I'm gonna..... I'm gonna stick to my no outing policy," the host retorted before attempting to redirect the conversation. However, he then revealed, "The only person I've broken it for is Barack Obama," as his brother laughed in the background. Tucker Carlson expressed regret over past comments, stating, "I feel guilty every time I call Lindsey Graham gay. I shouldn't be doing that. That is not the Christian way at all."
He justified his exception for Obama by referencing an accuser, Larry Sinclair, who alleged in a 2008 YouTube video that he and Obama used cocaine and engaged in oral sex in 1999. Sinclair, a convicted fraudster with a lengthy criminal record, took a polygraph test that indicated signs of deception regarding his claims. Obama has never addressed the allegations, and his spokespeople declined to comment when Sinclair first posted his story.
Platform for Controversial Claims
Tucker Carlson had Sinclair on his podcast in 2023, providing a platform for him to rehash the allegations against the former president. During that eyebrow-raising episode, Carlson also apologized for his role in Donald Trump's election, saying, "I’ll be tormented for a long time by the fact that I played a role in getting Donald Trump elected. And I want to say that I’m sorry for misleading people."
Deepening Rift with Trump
This comes amid a public rift between Trump and Carlson over differing views on the US-Iran war. Trump recently criticized Carlson in an interview, calling him "a low IQ person that has absolutely no idea what's going on" and stating, "I don't deal with him. I like dealing with smart people, not fools." In turn, Carlson has suggested Trump may be the "antichrist," citing biblical descriptions of a "man of lawlessness" who opposes religion.
Representatives for Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the podcast's claims. The episode has sparked widespread discussion and controversy, highlighting the ongoing tensions within conservative media circles.
