Trump Briefed on Iran Uranium Mission

Donald Trump reportedly received a high-level briefing on new military options against Iran from Centcom commander Admiral Brad Cooper and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine on Thursday.

Military Options Discussed

Options discussed included potential “short and powerful” strikes on Iranian infrastructure and an operation to control parts of the Strait of Hormuz, Axios reported. A special forces mission to secure Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile was also reportedly among the options considered.

Earlier, Trump claimed the US had “already won” the war in Iran, saying he wanted to win by a “bigger margin” and had “destroyed” their military and leadership. Despite his assertions of victory, the Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is continuing.
