Sinitta has been sharing details of her past romance with Hollywood star Brad Pitt with her fellow campmates on the latest series of I'm A Celebrity... South Africa. The former singer, who is competing in the All Stars series, revealed that she still daydreams about the actor, whom she dated in the 1980s before he became a household name.
During Monday's launch episode, viewers saw the first batch of celebrities enter the camp. A preview for Tuesday's episode shows Sinitta discussing her famous ex-boyfriends in Main Camp. When campmate Scarlett cheekily asks about kissing Pitt, Sinitta confirms the relationship, and later in the Bush Telegraph she confesses: 'Even I do think, wow, it was nice while it lasted.'
Sinitta told her co-stars that she dated the Fight Club actor 'years ago' before he was famous, ahead of his breakout role in Thelma & Louise in 1991. Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts remarked that was 'prime' Brad Pitt and jokingly congratulated her on the experience. Sinitta has previously described him as 'fun', 'sweet', and having 'the most amazing body'.
Their on-off relationship lasted two years between 1986 and 1988. Sinitta has said she was not initially interested in Pitt, thinking he was a 'nobody' at the time. She recalled: 'He was in Dallas at the time and I was more of a Dynasty fan.' After asking for his number, they went on a first date and 'clicked immediately'.
Sinitta's other high-profile romances include singer David Essex, with whom she had a relationship when she was 16 and he was 37, and an on-off 20-year relationship with Simon Cowell. She remains close friends with Cowell and has been a regular guest at his X Factor judges' houses.
