Sienna Miller's Sheer Surprise at Fashion Awards Pregnancy Reveal

Actress Sienna Miller has candidly revealed that her third pregnancy announcement at The Fashion Awards last December was more eye-catching than she originally intended. The 44-year-old star, known for her role in 'Alfie', made headlines when she debuted her baby bump in a sheer white Givenchy gown on the red carpet.

An Unintentionally Transparent Moment

"I didn't realise it would be quite that see-through in the camera lights," Miller confessed in an interview with The Telegraph. She explained that she felt confident in the outfit and saw the high-profile event as an ideal opportunity to share her pregnancy news before a scheduled press junket the following morning.

The actress is expecting her second child with her 29-year-old partner, actor Oli Green. The couple already share a daughter born in January 2024, and Miller has a 13-year-old daughter, Marlowe, from her previous relationship with actor Tom Sturridge.

A Playful Approach to Maternity Style

This isn't the first time Miller has made a bold fashion statement during pregnancy. In 2023, she showcased her second pregnancy at Vogue World in London wearing an ivory two-piece Schiaparelli set that framed her bare bump.

"I was nervous about the idea of it," she told Vogue at the time. "But once I had it on, everything else felt boring. I was like, 'I'll have that photo for the rest of my baby's life.'"

Challenging Perceptions of Pregnancy Fashion

At 44, Miller falls into the medical category of "geriatric mother," a term she acknowledges with humor. She views her daring pregnancy outfits as an opportunity to challenge her own preconceptions about how expectant women should present themselves.

"It's kind of fascinating to fight your own prejudice against yourself. I'm constantly doing that," she reflected. The actress expressed a desire to eventually move beyond making jokes about her age in relation to pregnancy, stating: "I'd love to get to a point where I didn't feel the need to make a joke of my being older and having a baby...To show I'm in on the joke."

Unexpected Romance with a Younger Partner

Miller and Green began dating in 2021, and their relationship developed unexpectedly. Green, who has appeared in films including 2023's 'A Good Person' alongside Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman, as well as an episode of 'The Crown' with Imelda Staunton and Dominic West, wasn't part of any deliberate plan.

"I didn't expect to take it seriously and then quite quickly, I fell in love," Miller told Harper's Bazaar. She humorously added: "I wasn't like, 'I'm gonna get a younger boyfriend.' It was more, 'F***! Why are you young? That's so annoying.'"

The actress's Fashion Awards appearance has sparked conversations about pregnancy fashion, age perceptions in motherhood, and the power of red carpet moments to share personal news in unexpected ways.
