Sienna Miller Reveals She Didn't Intend for Sheer Dress Pregnancy Announcement to Be So Revealing

Sienna Miller has opened up about her decision to announce her third pregnancy at The Fashion Awards last December, admitting she didn't realise her sheer white Givenchy gown would be quite so see-through under the camera lights. The 44-year-old actor told The Telegraph: 'I felt confident. I had a press junket the following morning and thought it would be a good way to get the news of my pregnancy out there beforehand.'

Miller, who already shares a 13-year-old daughter, Marlowe, with ex-boyfriend Tom Sturridge, and a baby daughter with current partner Oli Green, welcomed in January 2024, has a playful approach to maternity style. She previously showed off her second pregnancy at Vogue World in London in 2023 in an ivory two-piece set by Schiaparelli, which framed her bare bump. 'I was nervous about the idea of it,' she told Vogue at the time. 'But once I had it on, everything else felt boring. I was like, “I’ll have that photo for the rest of my baby’s life.”'

At 44, Miller is considered a 'geriatric mother' and said she sees her daring pregnancy outfits as an opportunity to fight her own prejudice that expecting women should look a certain way. 'It's kind of fascinating to fight your own prejudice against yourself. I'm constantly doing that,' she said. She also admitted: 'I'd love to get to a point where I didn't feel the need to make a joke of my being older and having a baby...To show I'm in on the joke.'

Miller and Green, 29, began dating in 2021. She previously told Harper’s Bazaar that it was never her intention to fall for a younger man. 'I didn't expect to take it seriously and then quite quickly, I fell in love,' she said. 'I wasn't like, “I'm gonna get a younger boyfriend.” It was more, “F***! Why are you young? That's so annoying.”'
