Roy Keane has resurrected his most famous punditry lines in a new World Cup advert for Sky Bet, bringing back his iconic 'big baby' and 'that's his job' catchphrases that have made him a beloved figure among football fans.
Keane's Legendary One-Liners Return
The Manchester United legend first deployed the 'big baby' tag in 2023 when criticising Liverpool's Andy Robertson for complaining to an assistant referee, and it quickly became a viral meme. His other regular phrase, 'that's his job,' has also become a staple of his punditry. Now, with the World Cup just nine days away, Keane has the chance to give these catchphrases another run out in a commercial setting.
Sky Bet's World Cup Campaign
Sky Bet has launched its World Cup campaign titled 'The World's Gone Football,' featuring Keane alongside former Manchester City defender Micah Richards. The advert shows the duo celebrating the joy of the tournament, but one unlucky couple finds themselves less jubilant after receiving a parking ticket from a traffic warden. Keane, ever the pragmatist, delivers his classic line: 'But that's his job! Babies!'
Sky Bet is offering fans who back any nation to win the tournament before 5pm on June 18 the chance to share a £5 million jackpot if England goes all the way. Additionally, they will add £100,000 to that pot every time England scores during the competition.
'Road to America' Series
Keane and Richards will also star in a new Sky Bet social media series called 'Road to America.' The punditry duo will unite for a five-part road trip series as excitement builds ahead of the tournament, promising more entertaining moments and banter between the two football personalities.
