Only days after attending the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, British singer PinkPantheress made a surprise appearance on the BBC quiz show The Weakest Link.
The 24-year-old musician, real name Victoria Walker, from Kent, was nominated in two categories at the US awards show last Sunday (1 February) but did not win. Her appearance on the Saturday night episode of the programme, hosted by Romesh Ranganathan, caught many viewers off guard.
Social media users expressed astonishment at the juxtaposition. One fan wrote: "PinkPantheress on The Weakest Link has to be the craziest thing I’ve seen all year. Girl she was at the grammys last week." Another quipped: "PinkPantheress on The Weakest Link was not on my 2026 bingo card."
The singer joined other contestants including comedians Alex Brooker and Harriet Kemsley, choirmaster Gareth Malone and former Love Island star Luca Bish. She had previously teased her involvement in a social media post last summer during filming.
PinkPantheress rose to fame in 2021 when her tracks went viral on TikTok. She released her debut mixtape To Hell With It that year, won the BBC Sound of 2022 poll, and dropped her debut album Heaven Knows in 2023.
