Olivia Attwood Opens Up About Life After Marriage Breakdown
Olivia Attwood has issued a candid update on her emotional state as she continues to navigate life following her marriage split from footballer Bradley Dack. The former Love Island star, 34, shared an honest post on Instagram, revealing she is currently "hanging in there" as she adjusts to life without her husband of just over two years.
Social Media Posts Reveal Raw Emotions
On her Instagram Stories, Attwood initially posted a humorous video showing a man hanging from a fairground swing, captioning it: "When you ask me how I am and I tell you I'm 'hanging in there' - this is what I mean." She followed this with a personal video update, wearing a red cap as she addressed her followers directly.
"Thought I would just jump on just to say hello," Attwood began. "It's been a minute. I'm still hanging in there. I go to work, I unpackage five million boxes. Sleep, repeat and live on coffee. That's basically my life."
The presenter continued: "It's pretty chaotic still. I'm kind of getting there, but it's a process." She also hinted at working on something new, telling followers to "watch this space" for future announcements.
Previous Messages About the Split
Earlier in the week, Attwood had shared another message reflecting on her situation, reposting a quote that read: "If you're worried about the cost of going for it you should see the price of staying exactly where you are."
When she first broke her silence about the separation, Attwood admitted to crying herself to sleep, writing: "I keep opening Instagram to post but I don't know what to say or do? lol. Vulnerability is not my bag!!! Especially on social media, it feels very much like bleeding in shark infested waters."
She elaborated: "I cry myself to sleep, then business as normal when the alarm goes off at 5am and it has been like that for a long time. But also so much change in such a short amount of time (you know I hate that) (Taurus). I never expected to be moving into this apartment alone. And I'm in over my depth for sure."
Background of the Marriage Breakdown
Attwood and Dack called time on their relationship after just over two years of marriage. A source previously revealed that their relationship had reached a point beyond repair after the Gillingham FC footballer "crossed the line."
The insider explained: "Ultimately it was because of a breach of trust on Bradley's part. It crossed a line and was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. She's heartbroken and just trying to process it all at the moment."
Despite her struggles, Attwood ended her initial message on a hopeful note, stating: "I want to be happy. I want Brad to be happy. Just one day at a time. For both of us. & anyone else who needs to read this. Normal programming and chatting will resume asap. Ps thank you, I feel your love immensely."
