Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was reportedly 'blindsided' by a Daily Mail report alleging that her husband, Bryon Noem, posted photos of himself cross-dressing online, potentially exposing her to blackmail risks during her tenure.
National security experts warned that the compromising images could have been exploited by hostile intelligence services. Former CIA officer Marc Polymeropoulos said, 'Damaging information like this can be a tantalizing lead for a hostile intelligence service.'
The Daily Mail published images showing Bryon Noem, 56, in pink hotpants and a spandex top stuffed with balloons. The report also claimed he sent at least $25,000 to female models online and engaged in a 'bimbofication' fetish.
Kristi Noem's representatives stated, 'The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time.' Bryon Noem denied that his actions put his wife at risk of blackmail.
The couple, married since 1992, have three children. Kristi Noem was fired by President Trump earlier this month after a contentious congressional hearing where she faced questions about an alleged affair with former aide Corey Lewandowski, which both deny.
