Mo Farah Screams in Termite Terror Trial as Ant and Dec Laugh
Mo Farah Screams in I'm A Celeb Trial, Ant and Dec Laugh

In a hilarious and tense episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! South Africa, Olympic legend Mo Farah found himself screaming in fear during a new trial, much to the amusement of hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. The 43-year-old athlete took on the Termite Terror challenge after the camp voted for him over Ashley Roberts, who was celebrating her birthday.

Mo Farah's Critter-Filled Ordeal

Mo was tasked with navigating a series of tunnels crawling with critters, snakes, and nasty surprises to collect stars. Ant, 50, instructed him: 'You need to make your way into the termite mound and down into the nest below. Once you're down there, your mission is simple: you must dig, crawl and scramble through the tunnels, collecting stars as you go.' Despite chanting 'Never give up, never give up!' to himself, Mo soon let out a series of screams upon encountering large snakes.

Ant and Dec's Amused Reaction

Ant and Dec were seen giggling as Mo struggled, trying not to let him overhear their laughter. Ant remarked, 'I remember that from the castle, his little screams,' referring to Mo's 2020 appearance in Wales. He added, 'Oh, we missed him,' as they watched the former Olympian's ordeal.

Balance of Power Challenge

Meanwhile, the other celebrities participated in a separate challenge called Balance of Power to win treats for camp. Ashley Roberts explained: 'Celebrities, in front of you are two pits and eleven balance paddles. You must each take hold of a paddle and keep it steady to prevent your ball from falling into the pit. When you drop your ball, you are eliminated. The last person standing wins.' The game tested endurance rather than skill, with celebrities holding paddles for extended periods.

Sabotage and Unplanned Endings

As night fell, many celebrities remained in the challenge, while eliminated campmates attempted to distract them. The group planned to drop their paddles unanimously to let one person win, but ITV teased that not everything might 'go to plan.'

Harry Redknapp's Prank and Voting Blunder

Back in camp, Harry Redknapp, 79, lightened the mood by pretending there was a new trial called Prison of Hell. He fabricated an elaborate scenario where celebrities had to find keys to escape a prison cell, fooling some campmates initially.

Addressing the Seann Walsh Mishap

This followed Harry's recent awkward voting blunder, where he mistakenly called comedian Seann Walsh 'Stewart' while sending him home. Harry explained his decision-making process: he avoided choosing boxer David Haye 'he might knock me out,' and didn't pick Ashley Roberts 'She teaches me how to do yoga at 7 o'clock in the morning.' He said Seann's name went 'completely blank' due to stress, leading to the error.

Ant and Dec played into the mistake for laughs, joking that Seann's hotel room was booked under 'Stewart Walsh' by Harry. David Haye tried to cheer Harry up by saying, 'I always thought it was Shane Walsh.' Harry replied, 'I thought it was Stewart didn't I? Did you hear that, my mind went blank. I lost the plot.'

The episode showcased a mix of fear, laughter, and camaraderie, with I'm A Celebrity... South Africa continuing to deliver unpredictable entertainment on ITV1 and ITVX.
