The new season of Married at First Sight USA is set to make history as a bride falls pregnant just weeks into the experiment. The American version of the dating show will hit UK screens on Monday, 18th May, airing on E4 at 8pm, with new episodes from Monday to Friday.
Historic Pregnancy Reveal
Season 19 originally aired in the US in October 2025, and one of its biggest bombshells involved bride Meghann Turner. In the ninth episode, she revealed she was pregnant with her husband Derrek Wiedmann's child. The couple were paired at the start of the show and quickly formed a physical connection during their honeymoon.
Announcing the news, Derrek said: "Where do we start? We found out some pretty crazy news today. Some miraculous news, unexpected news. I think we're both nervous." Meghann added: "We're pregnant! And we were not trying — to make that completely known."
Mixed Emotions
Although their relationship was still new, Derrek admitted the pregnancy changed "pretty much everything," while Meghann described them as "shocked, scared and happy all at once." The couple decided to keep the news secret from the other participants because Meghann was still in the early stages of her term.
Derrek explained: "It's still really early in the whole pregnancy. It's too early yet to have the first doctor's appointment where they do the ultrasound. We haven't gotten to that point yet. But that's going to be in a few weeks, so we're a little nervous to spend this close of, like, intimate time together around the other couples because we're not ready to tell anyone."
Expert Guidance
The couple were matched by MAFS experts Pastor Cal Roberson, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Dr. Pia Holec. Dr. Schwartz, a sociologist and sexologist, has been with the show since its first season, alongside marriage counsellor Pastor Cal and sex therapist Dr. Holec.
The new series of Married at First Sight USA kicks off on Monday, 18th May on E4.
