Love Island has launched its new series with a dramatic twist, as two bombshells, George and Yasmin, are tasked with stealing an Islander each to couple up with. The new arrivals have only 24 hours to make their choices, which will result in the current partners of their chosen Islanders being dumped from the villa.
Bombshells Arrive and Make Their Moves
During Tuesday's episode, following the Monday launch, the bombshells were introduced to the rest of the villa after strolling in to begin their undercover operation. Announcing their arrival with the line, 'Who ordered some bombshells then?!', the Islanders wasted no time quizzing them on who they fancy the most.
George revealed his top pick is Lola, who is currently coupled up with Sean. Meanwhile, Yasmin confided to the girls that Lorenzo, Ope, and Aidan have all caught her eye, leaving the boys with everything to play for.
George Attracts Attention
While George has made his interest in Lola known, he seems to have attracted Robyn, who heads over to the Day Beds to get to know him better. George told her: 'You've spun my head… you've got a proper aura…' adding, 'Your energy is crazy… honestly, when I walked in I was like, what a girl.' With George's feelings made clear and Robyn currently in a couple with Sam, a new love triangle is forming.
Yasmin Makes Her Move
New bombshell Yasmin is also wasting no time. She pulled Aidan for a chat and asked if he was keen to get to know her more. He replied: 'You could be a bit of a problem here…' Yasmin flirted back: 'I feel like we'll get on… a little cuddle in bed.' Aidan then whispered: 'You're the sexiest girl in here...' After watching on, Ellie confided in Robyn: 'What's going to happen will happen, I'm very much 'what's for me won't go past me'. But obviously seeing it, I knew they'd get along anyway…' Robyn offered her take: 'I think it's a major thing of how he moves now, because let's just cut the bullsh*t, he's been laying it on thick…'
Phone Roulette Challenge Heats Up
With the new bombshells well-acquainted, the Islanders shook things up with the night's challenge, Phone Roulette. Around the Fire Pit, each Islander took turns to stand up and select a phone at random. Each phone had a different name of an Islander on it and received a text message containing a dare for that specific Islander. Mica was first up and had to reveal who she thinks is on the show for clout rather than love. She said: 'You're a big personality and I think you like to play up to the camera sometimes…' Following one spicy answer, Ope continued his ongoing battle with gravity as he rushed to give a fellow Islander a hug and slipped over once again, leaving him red-faced. With three-way kisses, neck kisses, and strip teases aplenty, the Islanders turned up the heat.
Series Premiere Recap
Love Island returned to screens on Monday night, with the new batch of singletons getting to pick who to couple up with themselves instead of a public vote. Host Maya Jama made an immediate entrance as the Islanders headed into the villa for an exclusive welcome party under the stars. Viewers watched Aidan, Mica, Lorenzo, Samraj, Robyn, Lola, Angelista, Ope, Jasmine, Sean, Ellie, and Sam start getting to know each other. They played an Ice Breaker round where they were asked who they fancied the most, their types, and if they had seen any red flag behaviour. Maya then announced the Islanders could choose their own couples, with multiple interests in the same person requiring negotiation. Mica picked Samraj, Lorenzo picked Jasmine, Aidan picked Ellie, Angelista picked Ope, Sean picked Lola, and Sam was left with Robyn.
Secret Mission for Bombshells
At the end of the episode, George and Yasmin arrived and were given a secret job by Maya. She told them: 'You can dump anyone for any reason... What you're about to do will rock the villa. They won't see this coming. And remember - this is our little secret.' Viewers will have to wait for Tuesday's episode to see who they pick to dump.
Jasmine Ruffles Feathers
Jasmine was quick to make an impression, launching a brutal takedown of the boys just minutes after arriving. The fashion business owner, 27, who previously dated Arsenal player Héctor Bellerín, didn't shy away from sharing her thoughts. During the icebreaker, she said: 'I'm not obsessed with you three not drinking on that first question. That no one here's your type, there's so many beautiful women here!' Ope hit back: 'We just don't know yet!' but Jasmine insisted: 'You don't need to know, look!' Fans lauded Jasmine's comments, comparing her to Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
Villa Revamp
This year, the villa has undergone a multi-million-pound revamp, filled with designer goods and more beds than ever before to accommodate more bombshells. The villa is located in Mallorca, with single-track roads leading to the front gate, guarded by security. Upon arrival, Islanders walk along a wooden walkway through a giant chrome heart to enter their new home. They have access to an array of designer clothes and double beds. Producers Amanda Stavri and Lewis Evans said: 'There are more beds, and with more beds comes more bombshells!' The hideaway has been given a fresh makeover with baby pink and teal walls, gold accessories, and an outdoor terrace with a swing and plunge pool. TV producers will fill the Hideaway wardrobes with sex toys and lingerie. Love Island has collaborated with eBay again as the series sponsor to fight fast fashion, providing pre-loved clothing. Inside the dressing room is an impressive wardrobe with Prada, Dior, and Louis Vuitton handbags, as well as stylish heels and trainers. The garden has been updated with the famous fire pit painted blue, and the kitchen and lounging area follow a pink and green theme. The freezer is stocked with Solero ice cream, and the fridge with Poppi soft drinks.
